Terms of Service for Stellaforge

Welcome to Stellaforge, a real-time space strategy MMO developed by Illyricum Studio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stellaforge website, browser game, optional mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Game"). By using the Game, you agree to these Terms.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the Game, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Game.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

Age Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to play Stellaforge. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental consent.

Account Creation: To play, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

One Account Per Person: Each player may maintain only one account. Multiple accounts are prohibited and may result in termination of all accounts.

3. GAME RULES AND CONDUCT

Fair Play: Stellaforge is a competitive strategy game. All players must play fairly and respect other players.

Prohibited Activities: The following activities are strictly forbidden:

• Using cheats, hacks, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software
• Exploiting bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the game
• Sharing accounts or allowing others to play on your account
• Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other players
• Impersonating other players, staff, or entities
• Spamming, advertising, or promoting other services
• Using offensive, inappropriate, or illegal usernames or communications
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to game servers or other players' accounts
• Real money trading (RMT) of in-game items, resources, or accounts
• Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages

4. IN-GAME CONTENT AND VIRTUAL ITEMS

Virtual Currency: Stellaforge may include virtual currency ("Dark Matter") that can be purchased with real money. Virtual currency has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money.

Virtual Items: All in-game items, resources, ships, and progress are virtual and have no real-world value. They are licensed to you, not sold.

No Refunds: All purchases of virtual currency and items are final. No refunds will be provided except as required by law or by the rules of the platform where you paid (for example Apple App Store or Google Play).

Payment processors: Web or in-game purchases may be processed by third parties (such as Xsolla) or by mobile storefronts. Payment card data is handled by those processors under their terms and privacy policies.

Account Transfers: You may not transfer, sell, or trade your account or any virtual items to other players.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Ownership: All content in Stellaforge, including but not limited to graphics, text, software, music, sound effects, game mechanics, and user interface, is owned by Illyricum Studio and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play Stellaforge for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on Stellaforge without our written permission.

User-Generated Content: Any content you create or share in the game remains your property, but you grant us a license to use, modify, and distribute it in connection with the game.

6. PRIVACY AND DATA COLLECTION

Data collection: We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Safety pages. By using the Game, you acknowledge that processing is necessary to operate accounts, gameplay, security, and support.

Analytics and optional tools: We may use analytics, crash reporting, push or email notifications, anti-bot checks (such as reCAPTCHA), or advertising technologies when those integrations are enabled and where allowed by applicable law and your choices (including cookie consent on the website).

Sign-in providers: You may register or log in with an email/password or with third parties such as Google (including Sign in with Google on the web), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and, when we offer them, Facebook, Steam, or other platforms. Each provider processes data under its own terms; we receive the identifiers and profile information they share with us to operate your Stellaforge account.

7. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

Our Rights: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason we deem necessary.

Grounds for Termination: Reasons for account termination include but are not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Cheating, hacking, or exploiting the game
• Harassment or abusive behavior
• Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
• Extended periods of inactivity (6+ months)
• Technical issues that cannot be resolved

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, you will lose access to your account and all associated virtual items and progress. We are not obligated to provide refunds or compensation.

8. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Game Availability: We do not guarantee that Stellaforge will be available at all times. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily interrupt gameplay.

No Warranty: Stellaforge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Illyricum Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or virtual items.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, or technical failures.

9. UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS

Game Updates: We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Stellaforge at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes when possible.

Terms Updates: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on our website or through in-game notifications.

Continued Use: Your continued use of Stellaforge after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you under the law of your country of residence (for example if you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom).

Courts: Subject to those mandatory rules (including, where applicable, EU rules that let consumers bring claims in their home courts), disputes arising from these Terms fall under the jurisdiction of the general courts of Sweden. Nothing here limits rights you have under law to sue or be sued somewhere else when the law says you cannot give that up.

EU online dispute resolution: The European Commission provides an ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ for information about out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes. We are not obliged to use a specific ADR body, but you may use the portal where it applies.

12. SEVERABILITY AND ENFORCEABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. We may replace any invalid provision with a valid one that most closely reflects the original intent.

13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Illyricum Studio regarding Stellaforge and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
