Welcome to Stellaforge! This policy describes how Illyricum Studio ("we", "us") handles information when you use Stellaforge through our website and browser game, optional mobile apps, and related services.

By using Stellaforge, you agree to the practices outlined here. Third-party sign-in and payment providers process some data under their own policies.

1. What We Collect

We limit collection to what we need to run the game and support your account.

• Account and profile: Email address and/or username (or commander name) you provide; internal account identifiers; server/universe choices; password data only in hashed form where you use email/password login.
• Sign-in providers (optional): If you use social or platform login, we receive identifiers and, depending on the provider and your choices, your name and email. Supported options may include Google (Sign in with Google on the web), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and, when enabled, Facebook, Steam, or similar. We use that information to create or link your Stellaforge account.
• Gameplay data: Progress, rankings, fleets, resources, messages or content you submit in-game, moderation logs, and similar operational data required for the MMO.
• Technical data: IP address, browser or app version, device type, language, timestamps, and security-related logs (e.g. abuse prevention). We may derive approximate region from IP where needed for compliance or fraud prevention.
• Support and communications: Information you send to support, surveys, or reports.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage as needed for sessions, preferences, security, and (where you consent) optional analytics or marketing. Our cookie banner on the site describes categories you can accept or decline where applicable.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and secure Stellaforge (authentication, sync, anti-cheat, moderation)
• Improve stability, fix bugs, and understand aggregate usage
• Communicate about service, safety, or legal matters

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use cross-site tracking for advertising unless we enable optional marketing tools and you have consented where consent is required.

4. Analytics, Communications, and Optional Services (when enabled)

Depending on configuration, we may integrate tools such as:

• Google Analytics (or similar) for aggregated site or game statistics, only where allowed by our cookie/consent settings.
• Google Firebase / Firebase Analytics for app analytics or crash reporting on builds where it is configured.
• OneSignal or similar for optional web or push notifications where configured.
• Google reCAPTCHA (or similar) for bot protection on forms where enabled.
• Google AdSense or other ad networks only where marketing cookies are accepted and the integration is active.

Each provider processes data as described in its own policy. If a tool is not enabled in your version of the service, it does not apply.

5. Payments

Optional purchases (for example virtual currency such as Dark Matter) may be processed by payment partners (e.g. platform billing on mobile, or a processor such as Xsolla on the web when that integration is active). We receive transaction references and limited billing metadata—not your full card details, which are handled by the processor or app store.

6. Mobile Apps and App Stores

If you install Stellaforge from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect data according to their policies. Mobile builds may use platform sign-in or achievements where we enable them.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain data as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, security, or dispute resolution. You may request deletion as described on our Data Safety page.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact [email protected]. You can also revoke social login access from your Google, Apple, or other provider account settings.

9. Children's Privacy

Stellaforge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No online transmission is completely secure.

11. International Transfers

We may process data in the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries where we or our providers operate. We use safeguards as required by applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified in-game or by email.
